Unfair competition on the telecommunication services market
Are you confident in there are 60 seconds in a minute? I was shocked to learn that for some prepaid phone card providers a minute - just 36 seconds. A lot of well-known companies declared that there can't be any upright competition if one of competitors has got unjust benefit before the start of a rivalry. In 2007 IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) commenced a lawsuit against some companies-providers of prepaid phone cards alleging erroneous advertising and deceptive trade operations.
It is difficult to believe, but several unjust card producers deliver just about 60% of time, that were prepaid for. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have received a complete settlement of the lawsuit delivered by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC against Total Call. Earlier IDT/UTA began legal procedure versus the group of defendants for three times. The other settling defendants to date are Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and connected corporations, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc. IDT/UTA's suit against the residuary accused is still continuing in federal court in Newark, New Jersey. Not long ago, one of softswitch developers made public his advanced terms of paying the phone services. That new method permits every client to set the size of the minute that suits him better, and the system would keep back units form the account and the user will have an ability to check exactly how many minutes were deducted and how many remain.
