Any project coordinator handles four components: cost, timing, time and quality. A bit more challenging objective is to optimize work processes and resource allocation. Take your project and you will see that it needs people, money and tools to give satisfactory results. To manage projects successfully you have to deal with several factors. You can see a few of these factors below:
- Establishing objectives and carrying out analysis.
- Handling risk. The majority of projects feature a certain degree of risk.
- Assigning and managing resources.
- Defining the results of the project.
- Supervising the project in terms of who is doing what and when.
- Assuaring adequate quality.
- Dealing with change. Change is constant. The majority of projects occur in time, so the factor of change should be properly considered.
- Talking to everybody doing the project.
To manage these issues you can use pencil and a notepad or perhaps MS EXCEL. But you get some interesting advantages if you decide to use project tracking software:
- Task are smoothly assigned to dates and times. (more…)
