Learning Opportunities
The Washington Association for Community Health provides training and technical assistance based on statewide and regional needs to help our state's community health centers improve programmatic, clinical, and financial performance and operations. We assist our health centers and look-alikes to plan for the growth of health centers in Washington state, as well as develop strategies to recruit and retain staff.
The Association takes your requests into account and attempts to provide training and technical assistance based on your health center needs. Please contact us at staff@wacommunityhealth.org with a short description of your request and a staff member will get back to you as soon as possible.
Learning Networks
From Port Angeles to Walla Walla, the Association brings together our 28 member FQHCs to cultivate excellence in community health care across the state. Our learning networks convene health center staff from a variety of disciplines to strengthen health center capacity to provide healthcare access, innovation, and value. Participants are also able to share feedback that informs Association activities, policies, advocacy and training programs.

Chief Financial Officer
Learning Network
The Chief Financial Officers Learning Network (CFO Round Table) meets to support Washington’s FQHC CFOs in maximizing Medicaid revenue; to aide in the understanding and formation of Washington’s unique APM structure; to provide, as needed, essential and targeted training and technical assistance; and to facilitate information sharing on current topics of interest and importance, the exchange of promising practices, and to build esprit de corps.

Emergency Preparedness
Learning Network
The Emergency Preparedness Learning Network meets biannually to convene FQHC staff responsible for emergency planning, preparedness, and management. The Learning Network is a space to bring questions, challenges, and share promising practices with fellow health centers to ensure continuity of care during disasters and public health emergencies.

Dental
Learning Network
The Dental Learning Network meets quarterly to strengthen member dental programs in Washington and collaborate to improve the oral health of the State’s population. Through training and networking, the Dental Learning Network strengthens operational and evidence-based clinical skills, fosters leadership development among members, and identifies successful innovations to advance oral health and medical/dental care integration.

Learning Network
The Group Purchasing Learning Network convenes members of the Association’s Group Purchasing program to connect with their fellow FQHC purchasing professionals, share resources and information, and spread promising practices.

Medical Directors
Learning Network
The Medical Director Learning Network meets to provide a learning space for Chief Medical Officers and Medical Directors to bring their questions, challenges, and innovations to fellow FQHCs. Learning Network members identify areas of interest for each meeting, focused on strategy sharing. Subject matter experts may also join for topic-specific discussion or training.

Revenue Cycle
Learning Network
The Revenue Cycle Learning Network brings together FQHC leadership to optimize their programs by sharing best practices, the latest billing and coding information, and common challenges and their solutions. Members connect with their Rev Cycle peers across the state and inform training needs for future Association offerings.
