When clients are screened for social needs at community health centers, food insecurity is often a priority need and resources are very limited across our state. Join Washington State Department of Health and Coordinated Care to learn how they are using Fruit & Vegetables Prescription Program and other resources to create greater access to healthy foods to improve nutrition and health outcomes, including community health centers' experiences participating in these programs.
Intended Audience:
Community health center staff working on social needs, nutrition, health equity, clinical, community health workers, social workers, quality improvement, etc.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize Fruit & Vegetable Prescription Programs and other resources and how community health centers are participating to create greater access to food for their clients.
Identify ways community health centers can access and/or create resources to address food insecurity.
